Nurses Week is Coming
May 6th - 12th, 2025

National Nurses Week 2025 is just around the corner and this year the American Nurses Enterprise will be shining a light on The Power of Nurses™. We recognize the invaluable contributions of nurses worldwide and the real-life challenges they face every day. Whether you're a nurse, a healthcare professional, a patient, or simply someone who appreciates the critical role nurses play in our lives and society, National Nurses Week is the perfect time to share your gratitude and celebrate nurses.

With exciting opportunities to engage, contribute, share your stories, activate locally, and elevate #ThePowerOfNurses, we hope you will consider participating in some or all of American Nurses Enterprise planned activities. More details will be coming soon about the Healthy Nurse Healthy Nation™ Wellness Challenge, how to enter the National Nurses Week Getaway Giveaway Sweepstakes with a $4500 grand prize, and the list of where we will Light Up the Sky to celebrate nurses. Right now you can register for a webinar, support nurses with a donation through the American Nurses Foundation and download the toolkit to empower your National Nurses Week celebrations.

Celebrating 25 Years of the Nurse Licensure Compact

We've come a long way!

The Nurse Licensure Compact(NRC) is celebrating 25 years of multistate mobility and greater access to care.

The NLC allows for registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPN/VNs) to have one multistate license, with the ability to practice in person or via telehealth in both their home state and other NLC states.

Advancing Antiracism: State Nurses Association Initiatives Build on Community Ties
American Nurses Association

This article is republished with permission from American Nurses Associaiton.

In June 2024, the American Nurses Association took a significant step forward in addressing racism within the nursing profession by awarding funds to 12 of its constituent and state nurses associations (C/SNAs) in support of their efforts to take on racism and promote racial reconciliation. As part of a competitive request for proposal process, each organization received $8,000 to implement projects that use evidence-based strategies to dismantle racism in nursing in four pathways: organizational racial reckoning; education, immersion, and training; advocacy and legislation; and diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (DEIAB) initiatives.
