Professional Achievements:
As a proud graduate of the Sacramento City College nursing program (and possibly the only Attorney/LVN in California) I defend nurses before the California Board of Registered Nursing and other licensing bodies. I am a Fellow with the American Association of Nurse Attorneys. I became an attorney following my service as Director of a psychiatric assessment program during my 16 years of community mental health work and my service over 14 years as a human service nonprofit CEO. I defend licensed professionals all over California.
Favorite Thing About My Profession:
I find meaning in defending good nurses and other professionals when their careers are threatened by the risk of license discipline. State licensing agencies are powerful actors to be taken seriously. The loss of a nursing license can spell disaster for ones career and life. Defending the licenses of those who help others makes my life meaningful.
