What Can I Expect?
The 11th Annual Acute Stroke Treatment will explore the latest advancements in pre-hospital stroke care and the impact of utilizing stroke intervention beyond the guidelines. This knowledge-based conference will include the most recent clinical practice guidelines and best practices in stroke care for EMS transfer algorithms, blood pressure management, and vestibular rehabilitation. Stroke in the pediatric population will be discussed along with interesting stroke cases. Keynote speaker, Andrew Russman, DO, will describe his experience as the Medical Director of Mobile Stroke Operations at Cleveland Clinic where one of the first Mobile Stroke Units in the country is dispatched. Russman will describe the role of mobile stroke units in the pre-hospital care of the stroke patient as well as the impact on symptom to treatment times and patient outcomes.
