Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager, Resource for a nursing job in Fort Worth, Texas.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse will perform intake assessments and nursing admission assessments for patients at PHP. Assists with case management services including pre-authorizations of PHP admissions and pre-authorizations for prescriptions. Assists with QI audits for PHP. Provides psychotropic medication education, health, and nutrition classes to parents with children enrolled in PHP. Works in the intake department providing telephone intake assessments and referrals. The Registered Nurse will provide care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations; sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.

Qualifications:

  • Nursing degree, 5 years RN experience in Psychiatry

  • Understanding of patient intake

  • Previous case management experience preferred

  • Pediatric and Psychiatry assessment preferred

  • Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas

  • CPR - BLS required

  • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8
