This role focuses on emergency care, first aid, and the treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses at an employee health center clinic.

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Schedule:

• Shift: Overnight (3rd Shift)
• Schedule: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday

Pay Rate: $35-38/hr

Role Overview: As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for the health, safety, and wellness of our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct clinical care, including first aid, emergency response, and treatment for occupational and non-occupational conditions per standing medical orders.
• Conduct and manage health assessments, including post-offer, return-to-work, surveillance (e.g., respirator, HazMat), and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Manage workers' compensation cases by coordinating with HR, safety teams, and third-party administrators, ensuring clear communication and documentation.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies.
• Promote a safe work environment through daily plant walkthroughs, monitoring of modified-duty compliance, and recommending corrective measures.
• Develop and implement employee wellness initiatives, health education programs, and safety training.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Qualifications:

• Active LPN license that's in good standing
• Active BLS (American Red Cross or other that requires hands-on course)
• Nursing experience in at least one of the following areas: Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Room (ER/ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Occupational Health
