As Director of Licensing & Regulatory Compliance, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:

  • Ensures that all activities performed align with the vision of Elara Caring’s board of directors, executive team, and the leadership of the Compliance team

  • Oversee all regulatory filings across Elara, including license renewals, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment, CLIA renewals, and revalidations ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to submission to Compliance, Privacy & Safety officer

  • Maintain centralized tracking system to monitor filing deadlines, license renewals, and related regulatory requirements ensuring proactive completion

  • Communicate status updates on licensure and enrollment regularly with de novo and Business Development team

  • Builds strong relationships with administrators and cross functional leadership/teams to support compliance

  • Leads regulatory oversight for all de novo locations and acquisition activities including application management, licensure, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment, CLIA filings, and CHOW transactions

  • Directs due diligence process for potential acquisitions, collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify risks and meet regulatory obligations

  • Develops and maintains policies, procedure and operational processes related to licensure in accordance with state, federal and company standards

  • Promotes Elara Caring’s philosophy, mission statement, and administrative policies to ensure quality of care

  • Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule

  • Performs other duties/projects as assigned.

What is Required?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration or related field is required.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 5+ years of healthcare regulatory experience in a Home Health or Hospice licensing or credentialing role is required

  • 3+ years of leadership experience is required

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 10%

  • Must have a dependable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance in accordance with the laws of the State

  • Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently and be able to lift at least 25lbs

  • Move equipment and supplies necessary for job functions
