Nurse Manager - Hospital

Marshfield Medical Center, the Marshfield Clinic Health System flagship hospital, cares for patients from throughout central, northern and western Wisconsin. Marshfield Medical Center offers primary, secondary, tertiary and Level II Trauma Center hospital services provided by Marshfield Clinic specialists.

Full-time, Monday – Friday, Day Shift, Med/Surg

The Nurse Manager-Hospital coordinates, directs and manages the twenty-four-hour delivery of optimal patient care within an assigned area of a Marshfield Clinic Health Systems hospital.  This role is responsible for the recruitment and retention of the frontline patient care staff and for guiding and leading our nurses to provide the best patient care services in accordance with the organizational goals and initiatives.  This role interactively works with physician and allied provider staff on their unit(s) with the goal of best patient outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Requires:

• Associate degree in nursing with contingency of successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in nursing within three years of hire; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Three years of experience in acute care or related healthcare experience and one year experience in leadership role
• Three years of leadership experience preferred
• Current Applicable State Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire; at time of hire preferred
