Texas Health Resources is the largest faith based hospital system in North Texas. Our mission is to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve. If you share in this mission, we would like to hear from you.
New Surgical Trauma ICU unit at Texas Health Dallas is looking to add to it's team. Are you one of us? If you are thrilled by high acuity, fast paced environment, this is the right setting for you.
The Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) at Texas Health Dallas (THD) is a twenty-four bed acute care ICU which houses a combination of Cardiovascular Surgery, Neuroscience Surgery, and Trauma. The Cardiovascular Surgery population consists of post-operative open heart (CABG/Valve surgery/complex Cath Lab procedure requiring higher level of care), thoracic abdominal repairs, and vascular surgical patients. Our Neuroscience patients include post-operative craniotomy/craniectomy, general neuroscience patients, aneurysm and post-TPA patients for stroke. THD is a comprehensive stroke center that also cares for neuro-radiological intervention patients which includes mechanical clot retrieval, aneurysm clipping, and angiograms. We at THD just received Level II Trauma designation. We care for a wide variety of trauma patients and are currently working to achieve Level I designation. The STICU team is dedicated to taking exceptional care of our patients and follow our promise, “Individuals caring for individuals….together”.
The new medical complex is devoted to intensive care for the region's most critically ill patients. Our intensivist program puts the care of ICU patients under the guidance of board-certified critical care physicians, who directly oversee patient care in the ICU throughout the day. Physicians are available 24 hours. Critical care nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants — all trained in critical care medicine — help provide care in the ICU around the clock. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas Critical Care Units are located in the Hamon Tower, the largest expansion in the hospital's history, which was opened in 2009
