Regional Mental Health has been serving Northwest Indiana since the 1970’s. After providing the community with quality, comprehensive mental health services for so many years, Regional looked to change the physical health disparities of its clients and of the residents in the communities that it serves. In March of 2014, Regional Health Clinic opened its doors to the community.  Regional Health Clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center with four locations in Hammond, East Chicago and Merrillville. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), our goal is to provide the community with affordable, accessible healthcare. We do this by offering primary health care and dental care to women, children and men.  As a primary care provider, we are equipped to handle everything from temporary illnesses and injuries to the diagnosis and management of chronic illnesses like diabetes and hypertension. We also encourage our patients to take charge of their care through health education, disease prevention, immunizations, screenings and regular check-ups.

Position: Primary Care Nursing Supervisor 

The Primary Care Nursing Supervisor provides supervision to Nurse Care Manager(s), Certified Medical Assistants, Staff Nurses (RN & LPN) in the program, and also personally provides nurse care management services, maximizing components of primary health care settings by utilizing care coordination tools, criteria and protocols to support the provision of primary care services, healthcare monitoring, wellness education and support to patients in community and in the health clinic setting in order to improve health outcomes. 

This position plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of the business. The ability to ensure clinical staff understand and meet all professional standards of care and governmental and certification regulations by on-site observation and review of audits is critical. 

Requirements:

  • BSN (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Two (2) years in a similar position in physical or behavioral health field.
