Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Join the AACN-SAC in participating in Stroke Prevention Saturday! This will be the FIRST volunteer opportunity we have had as a chapter! Information found below. Please email marysep@email.arizona.edu to sign up.
TMC's Annual Stroke Prevention Saturday will be held Saturday, March 31st from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm, Marshall Conference Center. This community event provides free Stroke risk assessment screenings to members of our community. In 2017 TMC screened 330 community participants for their Stroke risk.
This free clinic will provide the following tests: Height, weight and body mass index; blood pressure and oxygen saturation; glucose and cholesterol measurement; carotid Doppler ultrasound; and electrocardiogram.
A large number of volunteers are needed to ensure the success of this TMC Community event. If you are able to volunteer, please email or call me with your availability. I’m asking early enough so volunteers can request the needed time off. I look forward to hearing from you.
