Defining Hope Documentary Screening

The Hospice & Palliative Nurses Association Central Va Provisional Group invites you to join us for a special screening of the documentary Defining Hope. In partnership with our colleagues at Honoring Choices Virginia and Bliley’s, as well as other organizations and supporters from across the community, we encourage you to join us for this powerful and moving film.

Defining Hope follows several patients - and the nurses who care for them - as they navigate life threatening diagnoses. The central theme of the documentary is that of “living well” – and that that means different things to different people. Our goal in hosting this screening is to encourage conversations between loved ones and their care providers about how each one of us interprets “quality of life” and “quality of death.” Following the screening of the documentary, we will host a brief panel discussion and offer the opportunity for individuals to sign up for one-on-one meetings with advance care planning facilitators (at no charge). Please note that nursing CE credits are available for those attending the screening.
