It’s spring, so that means Election Time!

We are in need of people who would like to give back to our organization with their time, enthusiasm and resources!

Board member requirements: Must be a member of this Chicagoland Chapter ($25/yr-paid directly to the chapter) and ALSO must be a member of national HPNA($115/yr-paid to national organization). The board tries to meet monthly by conference call or in person to coordinate our events.  Board membership gives 5 points to HPAR renewal and opportunities to serve on national committees also.

Open positions for 2018 board are:

Vice President -3 year term: 1year VP, 1 year President, 1year Past President.

Secretary - 2 year term *We are considering combining the role of VP/Secretary which would help the VP get more familiar with the running of the chapter, membership, etc. This may help us when we do not have enough people to fill the board positions. This is a topic in discussion, not finalized* 

Ad Hoc Committees which would include

• Programming—help us find speakers, locations, and the CE application, including retreat planning.
• Membership-keeping track of membership and help find ways to grow our chapter
• Social Media- managing website, Facebook page, Internet resources.

One new board member is sent to the HPNA Leadership Conference in Pittsburgh in July (all expenses paid) where you get to meet other chapter members from all over the country.

We hold our Elections in May, and so are looking for nominations for positions NOW. Please see our website for job descriptions for board members. We are a very collaborative board and work together to get things done. Please consider joining us and helping us keep this chapter viable and sustainable. 

We need volunteers to keep this chapter open! We cannot do it alone! Please help us grow and become one of the largest, most vibrant HPNA chapters in the country!
