Nominations Invited for IANANT Executive Board and Committee Chairs

As a member of the IANANT community, one of the responsibilities and privileges you have is electing the next leaders of the organization. You do this when you vote in the IANANT election and when you nominate colleagues for leadership positions

Currently, IANANT is accepting nominations for leadership positions on the IANANT Executive Board and the IANANT Committee chairs. The competencies for these positions have been defined in the IANANT framework for Executive leadership positions.

We ask that you carefully consider the defined competencies and submit nominations for colleagues who demonstrate the competencies and who you believe would provide strong leadership in moving IANANT towards achieving its mission and vision. You may also nominate yourself.

Simply complete the nomination form and mail it by the September 10, 2018 11: 59 PM deadline. No mail- in / email nominations will be accepted if postmarked/ emailed after September 10, 2018. If no nominations are received till election date for any positions, on site nominations are accepted. Nominee and the nominator must be active members of IANANT.

Following are the positions for which nominations are being sought. Terms for all positions will begin January 1, 2019. –Dec 31, 2021.

Executive Board (2019-2020)

President, Vice president, Secretary, Treasurer, Board member.

Committee Chairs (2019-2020)

Bylaws/Governing Rules & Regulation Chair, Membership Chair, Awards /Scholarships Chair, Fund Raising Chair, Public Relations Chair, Fund Raising Chair, Editorial Board Chair, Social and Cultural Program Chair, Professional Development/ Education Chair,

Advance Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) Chair.

Accountabilities of elected / appointed officers:

  • Define and support the vision, mission and values statement
  • of the association.
  • Ensure effective organizational planning.
  • Effectively manage the association's resources.
  • Determine, monitor, evaluate and strengthen the associations programs and services.
  • Uphold legal requirements and ethical integrity.
  • Assess board performance and ensure board succession.
  •   Ensure effective communication between IANANT, other NAINA chapters and NAINA   Attend all committee meetings with minimum excused absences.
  • Qualifications:
  • Active membership in IANANT. Only members who have served on IANANT governing board and Chapter governing board in the past or present qualify to be nominated to the above positions.
