The MISSION ZERO Act would improve trauma care in the United States.

On January 8, the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to pass H.R. 269, which reauthorizes critical programs under the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act. It also includes MISSION ZERO, which will help improve trauma care around the country.

The MISSION ZERO Act would create grant programs for military trauma teams and providers to practice in civilian trauma centers, where they can keep their skills sharp and transfer knowledge about innovative treatments and techniques that were mastered on the battlefield and could help save lives of civilian patients in the U.S.
