Good day fellow Neuroscience Nursing colleagues:

Just a quick post to tahnk you for all that you do, last week was national Neuroscience Nurses Week.  I am a little behind as I have just recently taken over the posting of the messages for this webpage.

May is also "Stroke Prevention/Awareness" month, in honor of that, we were happy to see those that could join us earlier this week at our 2 day session on the NIHSS.

Look forward to a meeting later this summer on the use of marijuana in seizure patients: This session wuld discuss the basics of it's use, the legal issues in Texas, and differences between street procured, FDA approved, or dispensary types of the drug.

Look forward to chating with you soon as an upcoming event. Methodist has their Stroke symposium June 7th, and in August AANN will have their annual Stroke symposium in Austin with the INNRS immediately following.  The 3rd annual INNRS is a joint project with AANN & UTSouthwestern this year, having been founded by the Dallas chapter's very own DaiWai Olson, PhD and his team from UTSW 2 years prior.
