Approximately 4.8 million -- more than 15% -- of US youths ages 10 to 17 have obesity, with Mississippi having the highest rate at 25.4% and Utah the lowest at 8.7%, according to a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation report. The report showed obesity rates were higher among black and Hispanic youths and those belonging to households with incomes below federal poverty line.
