Today the House of Representatives passed the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (S. 851 / H.R. 1309), and three weeks ago it passed Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act (S. 1399 / H.R. 728).
In June, GNA, other state nurses associations and nurses from across the country joined the American Nurses Association (ANA) in DC to urge members of Congress to cosponsor and vote in support of the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Services Workers Act and Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act.
Thank you to ANA's efforts and all the nurses for your great work in helping make this a reality.
