Happy Year of the Nurse!
In addition to 2020 being the Year of the Nurse, there are more May celebrations:

• Nurse’s Week from May 6 to 12
• National Nurse’s Day on May 6
• National School Nurse Day on May 6 o International Nurses Day on May 12
• National Critical Care Awareness and Recognition Month
• Oncology Nursing Month
• Neuroscience Nurses Week from May 10 to 16

We have a Nurse’s Gift for YOU! Our gift will be delivered via snail mail and will be sent
out during the first week of May. Hope you’re Chapter membership and info is up to date!
Also, if you enjoy attending our Annual Symposium, the continuing education
opportunities, and being involved with mentoring and community outreach; then the HIC
Board would love to have you! Our chapter is always seeking NEW Board Members to
help in continuing the good work!

Our Nursing Network website has more information. Send us an email and refer to the
HIC Roles Descriptions under the “Volunteer with the HI Chapter” ... hopefully something
will appeal to you. Submit a Willingness to Serve form and be a part of the team that
makes it all happen.
