Good day everyone!  I hope you and yours remain safe and well!

Just a couple of notes, a number of members are renewing their membership to PLN.  THANK YOU for your proactivity!  Remember that the auto-renew option can be removed as a default on your personal page should you not desire this.  We are grateful that PLN continues to be a resource for Nurse Educators across the state, and have noted new membership.

I wanted to share the results of the recent Board elections that were held last month for your state representatives.  To those of you who voted...Thank you as well.

President: Rose Rossi- Schwartz

President-Elect- Margo Hollenbach

Secretary- Wendy Grbach (returning)

Treasurer- Sharon Weaver Gallo- New member

Board of Directors at Large:  Lori Beard, Anne Fink, Elaine Strouss, Vera Brancato as new or returning members; Kim Noble, Lorraine  Igo, Mary Ann Durant are continuing in their terms

Nominations: Lynne Hausman (returning), Pat Schmehl, Linda O'Kane

Area Chairs: Area 1-Paulina Marra Powers; Area 2- Tracy Scheirer, Area 6- TBD

Lastly, as this past year has been limited and we hope that next will be starting on a better foot, the board of directors is looking to increase various offers of education to our membership.  Virtual presentations will take a stronger foothold as the coming months ensue and uncertainty exists still regarding COVID-19.  That said, please save the date for our kickoff to 2021:  PLN's Professional and Social Networking event to be held September 17th.  More info to come, but this is meant to be a fun event to meet the board, share your educational wish list, and just to kick back with friends. BYOVB (Bring your own Virtual Beverage! :D).  Also, feel free to invite colleagues who may not be PLN aware...we would love to have a great turnout to begin a hopeful 2021 and end the dreary 2020 season.
