On July 22 The American Nurses Association partnered with the American Medical Association and the American Hospital Association and sent a letter to Capitol Hill asking for $100 billion of direct funding for nurses, doctors, hospitals and the health care sector in the next COVID-19 relief package. This letter went to the Majority Leader in the Senate Mitch McConnell and Senate Democratic Leader Charles E. Schumer.
