Pursuant to KRS 314.414, the Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) promulgated administrative regulation 201 KAR 20:690 Licensed Professional Midwives Transfer Guidelines.  This regulation establishes requirements for licensed professional midwives in the transfer of care of clients.  To provide safe and timely transfer of care, the KBN recommends hospitals and providers implement the practices outlined in “Recommendations to Hospitals and Providers Regarding Licensed Certified Professional Midwives and Transfer of Client Care.”    Link - KBN Recommendations to Hospitals and Providers
