Let’s Study Together… For RN Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN)!

The Alaska Chapter of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (AK HPNA) is hosting a study group series to facilitate preparation for the CHPN exam. This program is intended to help motivate, engage, and create a community of like-minded nurses with the hope of building knowledge, skills, and confidence around hospice and palliative nursing.

 

Eight study sessions will be held on Thursdays 6:00-8:00 pm from April 8th to May 27th, 2021. Each online session will be facilitated by experienced ACHPN or CHPN nurses and will focus on reviewing the material presented in the “CHPN Online Review Course” module for that week. Applicants will be preparing for the June 1-30, 2021, testing window for HPCC CHPN.

 

Thanks to the financial support of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) and the Providence Medical Group Palliative Care Department, the first five RNs to register for the series and successfully complete all scholarship requirements (listed below) will be reimbursed for a one-year membership to HPNA, the CHPN Online Review Course, the Core Curriculum CHPN text, and the HPCC certification exam.

Successful scholarship applicants will: 1) Provide receipt of purchases for HPNA membership, CHPN Online Review Course, the Core Curriculum CHPN text, and the HPCC certification exam; 2) Attend 6 of the 8 review sessions; 3) Demonstrate completion of the CHPN Online Review Course (8 modules); and 4) Pass the CHPN certification exam in June 2021.
