Hello Colleagues

 

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital has an RB approval for a 2-part research study to assess employer perceptions regarding new graduate registered nurse readiness for practice. Part 1 has been completed and we are looking for members to participate in a discussion/focus group related to their perceptions of the academic preparation of new graduate nurses. Part 1 involved the completion of Casey-Fink approved the use of their modified survey evaluating readiness for practice, and Part 2 involves the discussion of themes that emerged from that survey.

 

The discussion/focus group will take place on April 8, 2021. We ask that you email either Keeley Harmon (primary investigator) or Denise Stage McNulty (co-PI) at kcharmon@houstonmethodist.org or dsmcnulty@houstonmethodist.org regarding you’re your designee's desire to participate. Please feel free to forward this invitation to other members of the healthcare community that may wish to share their perspective.
