September is Sepsis Awareness Month and the Sepsis Alliance Group is holding their summit on September 14 to 16, 2021. The Summit will include expert presentations from clinicians, innovation experts, and other influential leaders to highlight sepsis recognition and care strategies across the continuum of care.

Dr. Elizabeth Bridges, our past AAACN president, is a speaker at the Summit. She will discuss evidence-based strategies to guide assessment and resuscitation of adult patients with septic shock, including: non-invasive assessment of perfusion, integration of routinely collected vital signs (Diastolic blood pressure, pulse pressure) into assessment and treatment decisions, and dynamic assessment of fluid responsiveness.
