Thank you to all of our members for your support over the years.  This chapter has been a privilege for me to be part of and to lead.     I know that NEC-ARNA and the nurses who founded this organization were instrumental in the development of the professional image and practice of IR nurses today.  In addition they helped shape and improve practices in Radiology departments throughout New England.   Today NEC-ARIN met the criteria for dissolution with a greater than 2/3 member vote in favor of dissolution.  I thank many of you for your thoughtful e-mails and understanding of the need for change.

We as a Board will continue to work through the legal obligations of the closing of this chapter.   In compliance with our by-laws all NEC-ARIN information will be archived and the monies held in trust will be donated to ARIN’s education fund.   I hope that the closure of NEC-ARINS doors will help you to open the door to ARIN.   ARIN will continue to lead best practice and guide imaging nurses across the country to improved safety and continued growth of our nursing specialty.
