Join the Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA (EAWCP) throughout the month of March as we come together to celebrate epilepsy awareness and educate students and staff in schools about epilepsy and seizures!

Free Virtual Education in Schools

The EAWCP provides free seizure training for staff and education programs for students. We have several pre-scheduled virtual programs that are taking place in March, including a workshop for school nurses, training for staff, and education programs for students of all ages.

You can learn more and encourage your child's teacher and school nurse to register for programs online at www.eawcp.org/learn. Teachers can schedule a free program to educate students by contacting Andrea at azonneveld@eawcp.org. Use the button below to download a flyer you can share with your child's school.

Would your child like to get screen-to-snout with an Alaskan animal?

Schools that participate in our March education programs for students and share photos of how they are raising epilepsy awareness in their school will be entered into a raffle to win a virtual field trip to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center!

Purple Party

Join the EAWCP on Saturday, March 26th from noon-2pm at the Cardello Building in Pittsburgh, for an afternoon of food, crafts and games. Come decked out in the most purple and you could win the Purplest Person contest!

Registration is required and space is limited, so register early by contacting Francine at 412-322-5880 ext. 3004.

REMINDER: Scholarship Deadline

This year, the EAWCP will be awarding 11 scholarships to graduating high school seniors living with epilepsy. The deadline for applying for an EAWCP scholarship is Monday, April 4, 2022. You can learn more and download the application by visiting: EAWCP Scholarship Program.
