A Fresh Approach to Living Well with Dementia - Virtual Fair by LifeCircles PACE
Free event for people living with dementia, for those caring for someone living with brain-change, and for medical professionals.
Date and time
Thu, January 12, 2023, 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM EST
Location: online
Many seminars cover dementia research and caregiving tips from experts, however very few include the true experts on the topic, people living with the condition.
When their voices are not included, we may focus only on what is lost and miss that many people are living well with brain changes. Join us for conversation about practical tips for highlighting moments of joy, connection and pleasure at all stages of dementia.
This free event includes presentations from people living well with dementia, tips on positive brain-change approaches, and takeaways for medical professionals to make our community more dementia friendly and inclusive.
Living with dementia can be very challenging, but there are ways to thrive at every stage. Life is better when we are honoring lived experience, highlighting resilience and learning to live well with dementia.
LifeCircles PACE, with support from The Michigan Health Endowment Fund, The UMRC & Porter Hills Foundation and in collaboration with The Positive Approach to Care, The National Council of Dementia Minds presents: A Fresh Approach to Living Well with Dementia.
A virtual event for everyone: people living with brain change or dementias, people curious about dementia, caregivers, family and friends of people living with dementia, and for professionals who work with people living with brain change.
Want to attend, but don't feel comfortable logging on virtually at home? Join us in person at our watch parties. Be sure to select an "in-person" ticket to join us at our physical LifeCircles locations in Holland or Muskegon Michigan. More details will be sent to you after you register for the watch parties via email.
