The REQUIEM Project in Arizona

The 3rd Annual Arizona COVID Memorial day is Monday, March 6, 2023. The Arizona Heritage Center is hosting a COVID memorial event form 3:00-7:00pm. Along with the Compassion Drawing event that starts at 3:00pm, there will be a screening of the film, Chaos and Hope, at 4:30pm. There will be a panel discussion as well with food and time to meet new people. Five of the finished drawing panels will be on display. Arizona's Governor Hobbs will be in attendance.

There is no cost to attend but registration is recommended especially if you want to attend the screening of the film. You can register here.

GET INVOLVED!

The REQUIEM Project is a memorial and collective grief project that brings us together as one community. You don't need to have experienced a death in your immediate family circle to understand the full weight and grief we have experienced worldwide since February 2020. Although it may seem that COVID is in the rear view mirror, 500 people are dying every day in America due to the virus. So there is much support that is needed.

CONTRIBUTE NAMES TO REQUIEM

Please send names to be added to the drawings to requiemproject2021@gmail.com.
They will be added to the master database and to a numbered drawing.

HOST A COMPASSION DRAWING EVENT

Compassion Drawing events can be held almost anywhere. Community centers, cultural centers, churches, mosques, synagogues, senior living centers, prisons, galleries, museums, you get the idea. The drawings can be on the floor or on tables. All materials will be provided. Reach out to Tina at requiemproject2021@gmail.com.

VOLUNTEER

Help with gathering names from all the obituaries and newspaper articles both nationally and internationally. You can do this from the comfort of your home. You will be sent an EXCEL format, a list of counties/parishes/locations and you can work at your pace.

DONATE

A project of this size and duration needs financial backing for full success. You can support REQUIEM as an individual or as a corporate sponsor.
