NWONL Members,

On behalf of the NWONL Board of Directors, we humbly ask you to take a moment to honor Barbara Trehearne, PhD, MS, RN, a legacy nursing leader in the Seattle area and an early and essential member of NWONL (then NWONE). Barbara passed away in peace with her family at her bedside. She was an influential leader and founding member of this organization and devoted her life to advocacy and advancement of nursing leadership. Barbara was also instrumental in launching the Washington Center for Nursing and played an important role in championing RN-BSN education and Ambulatory Care in WA state.
