Special Olympics Bowling Event July 27th, 2023
A great big shout-out to Ginger Pierson and Beth Ford for serving on the volunteer medical response team for last Saturday's Special Olympics Bowling event! Ginger is a current Inland Empire Chapter Member and Beth is an ED RN and is a nursing faculty member at West Coast University along with Ginger.
Both Ginger and Beth felt welcomed and appreciated by the organizers of the event. They were also honored to serve the athletes who were competing and having fun.
Ginger wanted to encourage other members to consider volunteering for future Special Olympic events. She also mentioned that the organizers provided her and Beth with medical supplies in a backpack that contained items to respond to common medical and first aid situations.
