The California Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CACNS) is thrilled to announce our 2023 CACNS Annual Conference & Business Meeting on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 8:30am to 4:30pm at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The conference theme for this year is “The CNS: Transformational Leadership.” Please join us at this hybrid event with in-person and virtual registration options for all conference attendees.

We are honored to have Dr. Ali R. Tayyeb, Veterans Health Expert and Creator of the RN-Mentor Podcast, as our keynote speaker. We have also planned three engaging presentations on perinatal loss and pediatric palliative care, innovations in CNS curriculum, and an overview of the PADIS guidelines. Our endnote speaker, NACNS President, Dr. Mitzi M. Saunders, will give us an update on what is happening at the national level. Additionally, we look forward to connecting you to our exhibitors and sponsors. Check out the full conference agenda for more details!

We know many of you have lots of great work to share with your colleagues. To learn how to submit an abstract, review our submission guidelines. Accepted abstracts and posters will be presented in-person and virtually this year. Please complete and submit your abstracts by September 15, 2023.

Registration is now open on our new website! If you are not already a CACNS member, create a free Nursing Network account to register for the conference. We encourage you to become a member of CACNS and follow our page. If you have any questions about the conference or issues with registration, please submit your inquiries via the Contact Us page.

More information to come on hotel bookings and the post-conference social event. We look forward to seeing you in beautiful Santa Barbara!
