Oregon State AOHN Members Pass 2024 Budget

The Oregon State Association of Occupational Health Nurses

Looking toward the OSAOHN Chapter's 50th Anniversary, the budget to support growing and engaging membership was passed at the annual Business meeting.

The budget will again rely on reserves to support another year of no- cost CE Contact Hours, scholarships and suspended Chapter fees for new members and renewals for 2024.

Membership has stabilized. Emerging from the pandemic emergency, the Board is looking for input from members that will offer value to membership. Networking, mentoring to those new to occupational health practice and coaching those who are preparing for certification are available to members.

OSAOHN plans to continue partnering with local workplace safety and health organizations to represent OHN practice. The Chapter will lead participation in the 2025 GOSH Program Planning Committee's Occupational Health and Health Care Industry tract and the annual Joint Meeting with the Columbia Willamette Chapter of ASSP in 2024.  Occupational Health Nurses' issues are also being represented as discussions regarding Nurse Licensure Compact.

As 2023 comes to a close, OSAOHN is pleased to sponsor a virtual, no-cost Ergonomics update from 3 to 4:30 on November 7. Save the date, watch Nursing Network and your email for details this week.
