NWONL - Alaska now part of the Northwest Organization of Nurse Leaders

Washington
Northwest Organization of Nurse Leaders

With a resounding vote of approval from NWONL members, the the NWONL Board has reviewed, updated and ratified the operating by-laws for Alaska inclusion. The by-laws are both filed and also available to members on the NWONL.org website (here).

Additionally, the NWONL Board has appointed Alaska CNO, Carrie Peluso DNP, APRN, ACNS-BC, CENP Chief Nursing Officer, Providence Alaska Medical Center, as a 2024 At-Large Board leader. Carrie was onsite for the November 4th 2023 board meeting for both the by-law ratification and motion and approval of herself as Alaska's at-large board representation. AONL, the NWONL parent affiliate, has not only approved the integration but thoughtfully acknowledges and congratulates the move of inclusion by NWONL.

Prior to the new year, the admin staff will update the NWONL web site and correspondence to reflect the Alaska inclusion plus work to assist Alaska in establishing an Alaskan regional council.
