Kathy Walczak named Nurse of the Year

Congratulations to Katherine (Kathy) Walczak, DNP, RN, CMSRN, OCN, AGCNS-BC, for being named one of four nurses honored as part Nurse of the Year! Kathy is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who works with Hematology and Oncology patients at Froedtert Hospital.
Kathy was recognized by her colleague, Jennifer Backes, MSN, RN, OCN, AGCNS-BC for her unwavering commitment to providing care and comfort to our patients. Jennifer writes, “Patients feel valued, heard and empowered in their own care journey,” because of her. Kathy's incredible impact is not only felt by patients, but by her peers. As a Board Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Kathy has been instrumental in implementing evidence-based practices and positively impacting patient care within the healthcare system.
