Management Monday
Hello colleagues we are officially on count down for Expo! So have a few questions for you:
Are you going?
Do you have staff going?
Any first-time attendees out there?
The LSA will be meeting on Sunday April 5th the location will be announced soon. We will be presenting the program: Doing the Right Thing Isn’t Always Easy. In addition, we will also have a meeting to discuss what members would like to see moving forward. We would like to have members get involved with the LSA. We need your ideas, as well as your help to ensure that we look outside the box for ways to improve the assembly and continue to learn from each other.
We think that it would be great to have an informal face to face gathering with members of the LSA. We know everyone is going to be busy with lots to see, learn and do. We are working on getting a location at the conference center more to come on this.
At last month’s meeting we had a great turnout and many of our national ballot candidates joined us. This was a great opportunity to learn a little bit about them and to also ask questions. As leaders you know how important you are to your organization and realize how important it is to choose the best leaders for AORN. The ballot is stacked with incredibly talented leaders so please make sure that you vote. You will have an opportunity if you are attending Expo to meet them in person. I encourage you all to do this if you still have questions about which candidates, you feel will best lead the organization. What are you looking for in your AORN leadership?
Please share with us what you are most looking forward to at Expo?
I leave you with this quote: from Charles Darwin:
“It is not the strongest of species that survive nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” As perioperative nurses we continue to face changes and challenges we are strong!
