2025 Joint Meeting with Columbia Willamette ASSP - Find Resiliency in Professional Organizations

The Oregon State Association of Occupational Health Nurses

2025 Joint ASSP OSAOHN Meeting (Speaker Glen Fahs PhD, OSAOHN Board Member Kate Wood, ASSP Chapter President Brittany Johnston

Once again OSAOHN joined safety colleagues from the Columbia Willamette Chapter of ASSP to network and engage. OSAOHN recruited Al Siebert Resiliency Center Certified Resiliency Facilitator, Glen Fahs PhD, to speak on "The Resiliency Imperative: Who Survives? Who Thrives?"  Remembering that resiliency is a skill that can be learned and fostered, the audience of over 50 eagerly participated in sharing their thoughts.

One important level of resilience is to remain optimistic in spite of disruption or adversity. To do that, Glen suggested surrounding yourself with positive people. When the difficulties involve work or professional careers, engagement in professional organizations is more important than ever.

OSAOHN members encourage and support each other. In these disrupted times we join with fellow OEHS professional to make the case for the value of worker health, workplace safety, corporate social responsibility and government roles.
