NWONL Presidents Message - Nursing Week Reflection

Washington
Northwest Organization of Nurse Leaders

Dear NWONL Nurse Leaders,

Every year from May 6 to May 12, we come together as a nursing community to celebrate and acknowledge the incredible contributions of nurses across the country. This year’s Nurses Week theme , “The Power of Nurses”, recognizes the value of nurses and the critical role they play in the healthcare system. As care providers, advocates, teachers, researchers, and leaders, nurses touch every aspect of healthcare across the continuum of care.

As nurse leaders, we are uniquely positioned to influence and impact the future of nursing and healthcare.  As NWONL members, we represent a community of nurse leaders representing Alaska, Oregon, and Washington advancing the impact nurse leaders have on the future of healthcare, collaborate and leverage the power of partnerships, and engage and inspire the next generation of nurse leaders.

Thank you for the incredible work you do each and every day to advance the future of nursing. Happy Nurses Week!
