My practice is built on a solid foundation of experience and education. I am a nationally board
certified nurse coach (NC-BC), a family nurse practitioner (FNP), a geriatric nurse practitioner
(GNP) and a certified diabetes educator (CDE) with a Master of Science in Nursing Education
(MSN, RN).
My wide range of practice settings includes the last 10 years in a specialty clinic for diabetes
and thyroid disorders. Previously, I practiced in a rural health care clinic, family practice clinic,
industrial nurse practitioner, drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, correctional facility, home
health and a cardiac rehab unit in a hospital.
My professional and personal motto is to help people.
My professional membership includes the following organizations: Texas Nurse Practitioners
(TNP), American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA), Central Texas Chapter of the American
Holistic Nurses Association (CenTex AHNA), American Association of Diabetes Educators
(AADE), American Diabetes Association (ADA), and an honorary member of Sigma Theta Tau.
