"It is great to do what you love but greater with the great team."
Lailah Gifty Akita,
Three committees are essential to our success as a chapter.
The committees include the Membership Committee, Nominating Committee, and Program Committee.
Purpose of Committees:
- Membership Committee:
Promote initial and renewal membership in the national HPNA and chapter. Assure currency of national HPNA membership as a criterion for membership in the chapter. - Nominating Committee:
Conduct an annual chapter election by mailed or secure online ballot to RN, Student RN, Senior RN members only. Encourage chapter HPNA members to vote in both chapter and national HPNA elections. - Program Committee:
Identify the educational needs of the chapter membership.Provide programs that meet the identified educational needs of the chapter membership and that are consistent with the mission and Strategic Plan of the HPNA.
The Greater Houston Chapter for the HPNA has been in existence for more than 10 years established by hospice and palliative care nurses with a vision of providing the best care possible for palliative and hospice patients.
The vision is stronger and brighter than ever. Therefore, I encourage any members or followers to volunteer.
Thank you!
