Ensuring Our Legacy: Creating the Florida Nursing History Project, a 6 minute lecture proposal by Dr. Jean Aertker was presented at the AANP National Convention in San Antonio Tx June 22-26, 2016. Jean traced the evolution of our old FNA District 4 history work group. We started in 2011 with our big kick off event and gala at the Tampa Bay History Museum showcasing our Tambay Bay Nursing Pioneers. Realizing we needed to capture all the history and the stories of Florida Nursing, a core group continues to meet for breakfast bimontly at La Terresita Cafe in historic West Tampa.
