Open Letter to HPNA Membership
Dear Members of HPNA,
The Board of Directors recently approved an increase in the membership fees for registered nurses (RN). Effective March 1, 2017, the RN 1-year membershiplevel will increase to $115, while the 2-year membership rate increases to $210. All other HPNA membership levels, including the student nurse and RN student levels, will remain unchanged for 2017.
- This is the first dues increase for HPNA since 2012, while membershipbenefits have continued to expand.
- Over the past two years, HPNA has significantly enhanced the value of its member benefit package to include an upgraded online member portal, additional special interest group (SIG) communities, a new HPNA app available on Google Play and Apple stores, increasing national public policy and advocacy presence, new online HPNA Career Center, and a growing collection of educational products and services.
- In 2016, HPNA secured access to the Journal of Hospice and Palliative Nursing (JHPN) for all levels of HPNA membership, including nursing assistants, LPN/VN, students, and associate levels.
- HPNA members also have full access to the Journal of Palliative Medicine (JPM), at no additional cost. The 2017 personal rate for a one year online subscription to JPM alone is $672.00.
- Additionally, HPNA's online course library now include over 70 courses, all with no additional charge to members.
You can lock in your membership at the current rate of $99 for one year or $180 for two years by renewing your current membership before March 1, 2017. Any "early" membership renewal is automatically extended from the original expiration date. You will not lose any months of membership by renewing early, so take full advantage of this opportunity.
