Hello, Everyone. The officers of the Dallas Area Chapter of HPNA have been meeting with the officers of the Fort Worth Regional chapter about the possibility of merging the two chapters. We have sent a ballot out to all our paid members for 2016 to vote on this idea. We have heard from 2 people, who both voted for the merger. If you were a paid member in 2016 and would like to vote, you can still send your vote to me at shebley@airmail.net.

If you have not joined the chapter, you can still do that. Our dues for this year have remained at $10. You do need to be a member of HPNA National in order to be a voting member of a chapter. I would encourage all of you to join and participate in your professional organization. The benefits are many, including a subscription to the Journal of Hospice & Palliative Nursing and one to the Journal of the AAHPM, the opportunity for CE programs locally that are geared to the hospice and palliatve professional, and the wonderful collegial networking that happens at every meeting.
