Last call for nominations and a couple other things....
Hello!
Last chance to be a part of a dynamic, fun Executive Board! The Chicagoland Chapter of HPNA has open positions of
- Vice-President-Elect (3 year commitment:VP, President, Past President
- Treasurer (2 year)
- all information concerning these positions was sent in a previous email or is on our website at https://chicagolandhpna.nursingnetwork.com
Nominations will be closed on MONDAY MAY 8th, and elections will follow.
You must be a member of national HPNA, as well as our local chapter, in order to hold a board position and to vote in the election. We will send out ballot links only to those who meet that criteria.
We will be happy to accept local membership registration along with your nomination :)
Remember, volunteering on the board, gives you points for HPAR/recertification!
Also, we are looking for people to assist with program planning, membership, social events and even social media. This is not an elected board position but we are always looking for new ideas in order to keep our chapter growing and sustainable and we need your help! Let us know if you are interested in committee work.
It is with sadness that we inform you that our current secretary, Carol Hargreaves, has stepped down from her position. We greatly appreciated your time and dedication this past year and are sorry to lose you on the board. She will remain an active member in the chapter and we will continue to see her at meetings. Thank you Carol for all of your help!
Tricia Dziabis, past president, will step into the role for the final year of the term and the position of secretary will be open in 2018 as an elected position. This will allow the board positions to not all rotate off at the same time.
Finally, a big thank you to Ellyn Schreiner MPH, RN-BC, CHPN who has served for so many years, in just about every role possible, for the Chicagoland Chapter. She is retiring from St. Thomas Hospice-AMITA Health where she has been the Clinical Educator/Supervisor. She also served as the President of ASPMN(American Society for Pain Management Nursing) from 2015-16. Enjoy all your free time in your retirement--you deserve it!!
Please send any nominations, which would include a brief bio and reason why you would like to be on the board, to this email address. If you have any questions, please reply to this email.
Thank you!
The Chicagoland Chapter of HPNA.
