The Boards and Staff of HPNA, HPNF, and HPCC wish to reach out to our members, certificants, and donors in Texas and Louisiana and let you know that you, your family and loved ones, and the patients and families you serve are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We have been in touch with some of our members in the involved areas. We hope you are safe during this terrible disaster. When able, please let us know how you are and if we can offer any assistance. One thing that is obvious, as shown in the coverage on TV, is the great support everyone is offering to each other to provide any assistance possible. Such a great spirit of caring in action.

We know that hospice and palliative care professionals are continuing to care for patients and family members despite flooding, blocked roads, power outages, property damage, and personal loss. As the full impact of the situation becomes known, we hope our colleagues will remain safe as they work to help others deal with this disaster.
