Good Morning Members and Friends!

 

We had a really informative talk on the many faces of what is hospice and palliative care last week.  Thank you to all who joined us and thank you to Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Palliative Care team for being a wonderful host.  Our speaker, Dr Lawrence Dorf, certified in Geriatrics and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, provided great insight and answered many questions.  We hope he will be a return speaker!

We had five new members join and they received a 50% discount off of membership. We will do this again at the next meeting.  Also important is becoming a national HPNA member. Please do this at www.hpna.org.  Professional growth and expertise means belonging to your specialty organizations!

Our next lecture is one you must. not. miss!  We will have a representative from AHCA as our next speaker.  Let’s talk about what’s been happening and learn what we need to know to avoid trouble!!!  Bring your colleagues, especially from the Long Term Care World who may not be on this email.
