Hello all!

Tomorrow we will have the honor of hearing from Shawna Markie-Malynowski, RN about Stokes! Shawna worked for years in the ICU and has been influential in getting DH a certified stroke center. She will go difference of ischemic vs hemorrhagic vs TIA, why stroke needs to be treated as a medical emergency, and treatments. She will also bring light to the importance of a Stroke Certification and the benefits of becoming a Stroke Certified Hospital.

Meeting will be Oct 17 at 4p at DHMC Borwell 758. As always, this is a free event open to anyone who wants to learn. Bring a friend and come learn. We will go to Skinny Pancake afterwards for networking and drinks.
