AACN chapters that have made a difference in the healthcare profession and their communities are chosen each year to receive AACN Circle of Excellence recognition awards. Up to three chapters in each category will be honored at the annual AACN National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition.

The Southern Arizona AACN Chapter is honored to receive the 2018 Circle of Excellence Chapter Award for Excellence in Promoting the Value of Certification, which recognizes the chapter’s contributions that support and foster the advancement of the certified nursing practice in high acuity and critical care.  The chapter’s influence aids in promoting AACN’s vision of a healthcare system driven by the needs of patients and families, in which critical care nurses can make their optimal contribution.

The Southern Arizona AACN executive board would like to thank everyone involved in the 2017 CCRN Review Course: Because IT MATTERS for their tireless efforts to support the chapter's mission of promoting specialty and subspecialty certification. Chapter events would not be nearly as successful if it weren't for our amazing chapter members and their phenomenal dedication to the profession of critical care nursing.
