Updates from The President's Corner

The Maryland Area Association of Occupational Health Nurses

Dear MAAOHN Members,

With the holiday season behind us, it is time to focus our attention on the many events that are coming your way in 2018. This year, we welcome our biannual Regional Occupational Health Conference (ROHC) dates and information TBD and our annual AAOHN national conference in Reno, Nevada. We are also bringing quarterly educational offerings and free webinars to a city and a computer near you!

The AAOHN conference theme this year is “Soar to New Heights- Advancing a culture of Worker Health”. The dates are: preconference April 14-15 and conference April 16–18, 2018, Reno, Nevada. Please join us in Reno for an amazing event filled with continuing education, networking, and professional development.

Both conferences will update you with the current cutting-edge best practices while exploring the latest technology and resources to improve the management of your occupational and environmental health and safety practice. You can participate in dialogue to advance the specialty of occupational health, safety, and environmental health nursing, and of course, network with colleagues and build relationships that may span your career. You won’t want to miss them!

I am looking forward to collaborating and networking with you all.

Respectfully,

Tena Hall, BSN, RN-BC

President, Maryland Area Association of Occupational Health Nurses (MAAOHN)
