Michael R. "Ron" Eslinger (Captain, USN Nurse Corps Retired) serves as Owner/CEO of Healthy Visions Training Company and President/CEO of the American Association of Moderate Sedation Nurses, Inc. Captain Eslinger began his military career in 1966 with the USMC Parris Island and Jacksonville, Florida. Followed by active army service in William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX, and service in the Army Reserves, Chattanooga, TN, in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps (1969-85). Captain Eslinger entered the U.S. Navy in 1985, where he served Naval Hospital Long Beach, CA, Mayport, Naval Base, USS Forestall, Jacksonville, FL, with an eight-month deployment to Desert Shield/Desert Storm, MA, from the Naval War College, Newport, RI, Oakland, CA, Chief Nurse USNS Hospital Ship, Mercy, Chief CRNA and Director of Operations, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA and then to Naval Hospital, Beaufort, SC as the Director of Patient Services, where he retired in 2003. Captain Eslinger retired to Clinton, TN, in December 2003 with his wife Karen after a total service time of 34 years. In 1991, LCDR Eslinger, stationed at Jacksonville Naval Hospital, was assigned as the Anesthesia Representative to the Hospital I.V. Sedation committee to create policies and training to meet the new Joint Commission standards for non-anesthesia providers giving I.V. Conscious Sedation. Capt Eslinger made a PowerPoint presentation which he shared with other Navy Hospitals. After retiring, he expanded the training into an 8-hour program which was approved for Continuing Education Credits. It is now a 10-hour online program with virtual simulation and live video content.
