Favorite Thing About My Profession:
I love that nursing provides so many opportunites for growth, development and change; nurses can literally go anywhere and do anything!
Virtues:
As a nurse, there is the tendency to shine light on others as opposed to ourselves. But I also believe that in order to grow, develop, and lead, one must be able to self-evaluate. Reflection has helped me recognize that courage is a virtue I greatly value. Courage to stand up for my patients. Courage to seek help and ask questions. Courage to try new things. Courage is so intertwined within the nursing profession, it seems synonymous.
